| Wanted a primer... got paint instead | |
| Okay, I needed primer and stumbled upon this beautiful grey. The hint of blue really make details pop on your minis. I cleaned up my plastic minis with dish soap and a toothbrush, as usual, and applied the Fang in very thin coats until satisfaction. I didn't know back then that The Fang is Not a primer but a paint! The very same you can buy in small GW bottles. The labeling on the can is somewhat unclear (or is it the old school me who expects this can format to contain primer...) Anyway, after reading online, I learned that some people do use it as a primer. If your minis are cleaned properly and you go in with very thin successive layers, it ends up being a very good base for your paint. The hue is very nice and unique. Take note: Since The Fang contains blue, warm colors won't turn out as expected and might look cooler. All in all, great paint from GW, unique color and can both act as paint or primer. * Still I would recommend going for a real primer if you game a lot with your minis. Just to be safe. | |
