Cthulhu Wars is a fast-moving strategy game about the end of the world. You take the part of various monstrous aliens seeking to dominate the world. You can play as Great Cthulhu, or you can take charge of the slithering menace of the Crawling Chaos, command thebestial hordes of the Black Goat, or direct the insane minions of theYellow Sign.
The game features a huge map of a devastated Earth to fight over, and 72 high-quality figures, all drawn from the dread Cthulhu mythos, including Cthulhu himself, Cultists, Shoggots, and many other horrors. These figures are sculpted in 28mm scale tobe compatible with many other tabletop games.
Unlock spells and summon monsters unique to your own Faction, each of which are strikingly different in their tactics and techniques. A strategy that works for Black Goat will be ineffective for the Crawling Chaos. Each Faction has multiple unique strategies for winning, so Cthulhu Wars has incredible depth and replay value. This game supports 2-4 players, with an additional map layout that can support even more Factions (purchased separately) in a 5 player game.
Cthulhu Wars is a combination of strategic gaming and Lovecraftian horror, with the bonus of high-quality monster figures to make your game even more fun. Sandy Petersen, its cerator, is well-konwn as one of the top game designers in the industry, and this is his best work so far!

| It's rare that a game looks so good and plays just as well! The figures are quite large and detailed, I particularly enjoyed the distinct colours chosen for each faction. The instruction booklet is misleading a bit because of its size, but most of it consists of art pages and details on expansions you can purchase. Imaginaire shipped my item in great shape and quickly :) |

| Vraiment un jeu très intéressant et bien pensé. Un mélange de plusieurs concept de jeu de plateau et de stratégie différent qui rendent ce jeu unique en son genre. Le matériel est de très bonne qualité et aussi plusieurs extensions disponibles pour prolonger les heures de jeu. | |

| Cthulhu Wars est un jeu produit sans retenu, Les miniatures ne sont pas "miniature", le jeu est simple en surface mais offre beaucoup de place à l'opportunisme et des moments marquant. Ce n'est pas un "risk", c'est un jeu de contrôle de territoire qui mérite d'être au moins essayer. Suite à une dizaine de parties de la boite de base j'ai acheté toutes les factions et toutes les cartes disponible :) | |
