Description
Cinnamon teal
The reverse featuresa coloured male and female cinnamon teal in their natural habitat. Inthe foreground on the right side of the image, the stunning crimson male with his striking red eye and characteristic patchof light blue onhis wing-front wades in a pond near a swimming female. The female, with gray-brown colouring and dark eye stripe, bobs gently in the water just behind the male on the left side of the composition. A lovely white water lily and bright green lily pad float in the foreground. The entire image is reflected in the rippling water.
This coin is the fifth issue of the Ducks of Canada collection.
The first coin of the series, released in May 2013, depicts the Mallard.
The second coin of th series, released in July 2013, depicts the Wood Duck.
The third coin of the series, released in March 2014,depicts the Pintail.
The fourth coin of the series, released in September 2014, depicts the Harlequin Duck.
The fifth and the last coin of the series, released in February 2015, depicts the Cinnamon Teal.
