The Maze Runner  is the first novel of the series written by James Dashner. This science fiction novel was first published in the United States in 2009 and then appeared in France in 2012. Then a film was made under the same name which appeared in 2014.

When Thomas regains consciousness, his memory is empty, only his name is familiar to him ... He finds himself surrounded by teenagers in a strange place, in the shade of impassable walls. Four gigantic doors, which close in the evening, open onto a labyrinth populated by steel monsters. Each night, the plan of the labyrinth is changed.
Thomas understands that a terrible ordeal awaits them all. How to escape through the cursed labyrinth without risking his life and that of his comrades? If only he could unearth the dark secrets buried deep in his memory ...
