Description
Igloo
The image presents an Inuit family perfecting the exterior of their home. The man stands on the right side of the image, cutting out a small square for light. This he may fill with a block of clear ice - an ice window. On the left side of the image, a woman carrying a baby in an amaut on her back carefully perfects the igloo's exterior. A leashed and harnessed Husky sled dog stands before the dwelling's circular entry tunnel, awaiting his call to duty.
This coin is the first issue of the fine silver O Canada collection with a face value of 25 dollars.
The first coin of the series, released in January 2014, depicts the Igloo.
The second coin of the series, released in March 2014, depicts the Scenic Skiing in Canada.
The third coin of the series, released in May2014, depicts the Under the Maple Tree.
The fourth coin of the series, released in July 2014, depicts a Cowboy in the Canadian Rockies.
The fifth coin of the series, released in September 2014, depicts the Arctic Fox and the Northern Lights.
