The Bilodeau Guide was first publishedin 1987 as a 32-page booklet cataloging Canadian Tire "money". After years of research and classification it is now the only bilingual guide to Canadian Tire Gas Bar, Store, Sandy McTire and P. Simard coupons; catalogues and miscellaneous memorabilia, including telephonecards, tokens, pins, truck banks and gifts certificates. This book is a must for those interested in the new and fascinating hobby of Canadian Tire "Money" collecting.
Volume 2
The volume 2 contains all the information necessary for the novice as wellas the most knowledgeable collector. This new edition contains some revisions and quite a bit of new information - 236 pages in all. Volume 2 contains a preface and five chapters: gas bar coupons, store coupons, "Sandy McTire" lubritorium coupons and Simard coupons and errors.
The 12 page preface explains the difference between varieties and errors. Included, for your convenience is a "Variety Locator Grid" which is explained in detailon Page 4. We have included an informative article on the printing and numbering of CTC coupons.
In the first section over 350 Gas Bar varieties are catalogued with pictures on 86 pages. The Store section has the same amount of pages explaining in the same fashion over 230 varieties. Next the Sandy McTire varietiesare shown on ten pages with as many images. The Simard section is our smallest with only two varieties shown and described. Our last chapter describing errors, colour variations and special serial numbers takes up the last 38 pages and has over 90 pictures showing all you need to know about these fascinating coupons.
