Description

Pascal Girard est né à Jonquière en 1981. Dès sa première journée sur les bancs de l'école, il commence à remplir de dessins les marges de ses cahiers, de ses agendas. Comme il n'a jamaispu se débarrasser de cette bonne habitude, il a naturellement décidé d'en faire son métier. En 2004, il termine son baccalauréat interdisciplinaire en arts à l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Depuis, il a déménagé à Québec où il mène conjointement une carrière d'illustrateur et d'auteur de bandes dessinées. Pour ses deux premiers livres, Dans un cruchon et Nicolas, il a reçu le prix Réal-Fillion au Festival de labande dessinée francophone de Québec en 2006. Depuis le début d'année, il réalise une bande dessinée de façon quotidienne sur son site internet. L'exercice a duré six mois à raison d'un strip par jour! Avec son style graphique qui peut faire passer Sempé pour un pointilliste et son humour direct et efficace, Pascal Girard rate rarement sa cible. En quelques traits, il réussit avec quatre cases de magnifiques petits instantanés.
